The experiment started with the advice of Dr Toshio Nemoto, the author of “To all the players of wind instruments―suggestions of a dentist”, and was carried out under the guidance and cooperation of Dr Tetsuo Nagai of Keio University Hospital.

In the Hospital I had my teeth filled/scraped, checking the sound of my trombone.

I hope this report will be useful for many players to check the direction, speed and the quantity of breath by understanding the role of lips, teeth and tongue.
